The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today December 8

Outside My Window . . .
Windy and dark. The forecast is calling for rain tonight, tomorrow, and tomorrow night.

I am thinking . . .
I am so glad I am closing in on the end of Christmas presents.
I am thankful for . . .
the time I get to spend in a deer stand on the weekends. It is relaxing, a time to read (uninterrupted).

From the kitchen . . .
I am frying deer steak tonight for supper. We will have corn on the cob and I don’t know what else.

I am wearing . . .
teal t-shirt, blue jean carpris, fuzzy pink slip-on house shoes (I run around in them here at the office)

I am creating . . .
Christmas gifts galore!

I am going . . .
home

I am reading . . .crochet patterns!

Around the house . . .
the puppies have discovered the porch so we are tip-toeing around little ‘land mines’ until we find new homes for them or they learn to go in the pasture. Anyone want an adorable puppy for Christmas?

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week
get a few more things done for the weekend and hang on. This weekend is trade days in Lufkin AND Christmas in Kennard. I will have to pack up early Saturday in Lufkin and boogie to Kennard b/c I am one of the judges in the Christmas parade.

Here is picture thought I am sharing . . . Taylor and JR with Taylor's first doe of the season.
